Referrals
Our referrals come from Surgeons, Specialists, GPs and other Allied Health Professionals, however, you do not specifically need a referral to see one of our therapists.
We recommend that on your first appointment you bring all relevant documentation and your Doctor’s referral (if you have one)
Fees and Rebates
Advance Therapy Solutions is a private practice and charges are incurred for services provided.
Consultation and splint charges will be discussed during your appointment.
Private patients
If you are a private patient you may receive a rebate from your private health fund for the occupational therapy or physiotherapy service you receive.
Fees for private patients are dependent on the length of the session and the need for consumables or splints. Depending on your cover, you may also receive a rebate for splints and other equipment.
You will be required to pay your account in full on the day of treatment. You can then present your receipt to your private health fund for a rebate.
Workers’ Compensation
If you are claiming services through Workers’ Compensation, such as WorkCover, consultation and splint fees are billed directly to the insurer.
You will not incur any costs as long as you have a valid claim number. Please bring your referral and claim number to your first appointment.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)
Advance Therapy Solutions is a registered DVA provider and services are billed directly to DVA.
Gold card holders will not incur any costs.
Please bring your Doctor’s referral and your DVA file number/card to your first appointment.
Chronic Disease Management Program (CDM)
Under the CDM program your GP can refer you if you have a chronic or longstanding condition. You are eligible for a number of consultations when a CDM plan is completed by a GP.
You will be required to pay your account in full on the day of treatment.
You can then present your receipt and referral to Medicare to receive your rebate
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Advance Therapy Solutions is a registered NDIS provider and are able to support all NDIS funding types to assist clients with their rehabilitation for Hand therapy, Physiotherapy, Lymphoedema and Driving Assessments.
