Our lymphoedema therapists have completed specialised training in the prevention and management of breast and upper limb lymphoedema.
We are especially passionate about the prevention of breast
cancer related lymphoedema, and utilise SOZO bio-impedence spectroscopy at each of our lymphoedema clinic locations – Icon Springfield, Icon Redland and Greenslopes.
Our goal is to provide our patients with the highest level of evidence-based treatment.
We aim to ensure each patient can manage their condition effectively and as independently as possible, whilst also maintaining a high quality of life.
Our breast care services include:
.• Comprehensive assessment, including liaison/communication with treating oncology team.
• Lymphoedema prevention and monitoring, including use of a SOZO bio-impedence spectroscopy.
• Complex decongestive therapy.
• Manual lymphatic drainage.
• Scar management.
• Axillary cording.
• Low level laser therapy.
• Skin care and wound management.
• Exercise prescription, including collaboration with our physiotherapist and exercise physiologist.
• Serial compression bandaging.
• Prescription of compression garments – off shelf and custom made.
For patients who are unable to attend our clinics, TELEHEALTH CONSULTATIONS are now available.
